Vietnam Ranks as One of Koreans' Top Summer Destinations

Vietnam is making waves as a top summer hotspot for Korean travelers, with hotel bookings tripling this year. Hanoi, Da Lat, and Ha Long Bay are leading the charge, showcasing Vietnam's growing appeal in Southeast Asia.

Vietnam is seeing a surge in hotel bookings from Korean travelers for this summer, according to data from South Korea's Yeogi Eottae platform. Hotel reservations by Korean tourists in Vietnam have tripled compared to the same period last year, matching a similar increase in the Philippines.

As of late April, Vietnam and the Philippines lead in hotel bookings among Southeast Asian destinations, reflecting a growing interest in the region for summer 2024.

Kim Yong-gyeong, head of Yeogi Eottae, highlighted the significant rise in travel demand to Southeast Asia.

In Vietnam, Hanoi has emerged as the most popular destination among Koreans, topping the Rankify Korea trend index with 1,788 points. It is followed by Da Lat and Ha Long Bay, with 1,379 and 796 points, respectively.

The trend index is based on keyword search volumes and Google Trends data from the previous week, underscoring the strong interest in these Vietnamese destinations.
